The Power Squadron offers a wide variety of boating seminars. The following seminars were offered this past year. We will be putting together a schedule for next year.

GPS

Partner in Command:

This seminar is aimed to the "first mate" who is an inexperienced boater who wants to learn the basic skills necessary to take the helm in case of an emergency situation. The course will result in more confidence when out in the family boat.

GPS

Tides and Currents:

This seminar will introduce the boater to the navigation techniques required when boating in waters with tidal changes and the resultant currents. It covers how to determine safe passage over shallow tidal waters and under bridges with varying clearance heights.

Breakfast and Rules of the Road:

This seminar will provide the recreational boater with the knowledge of the Inland and International 'Rules of the Road' to assure compliance with these maritime laws which are important to prevent collisions and avoid accident liability issues. Come early (09:30) and get some pancakes and coffee for only $4.00 more.

Learn the basics of lightning safety for you and your crew. This is not about lightning protection for your boat, boats are replaceable. This is about lightning safety for people, who are not replaceable.
